Bishop Seitz’s appointment

May 6, 2013 By Bishop Kevin J. Farrell

Congratulations to Bishop Mark Seitz on his appointment by Pope Francis as Bishop of El Paso. I believe the Holy Father has made an outstanding choice of a leader for the important West Texas diocese.

Bishop Seitz has served the Diocese of Dallas as vicar general, pastor and vice rector of Holy Trinity Seminary. He is eminently qualified for his new responsibility. The Diocese of El Paso is home to the oldest parishes in Texas and  is rich in Catholic history.

Please join me in praying for Bishop Seitz as he embraces his new episcopal ministry.
