The Golden Rule also reminds us of our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development.
Pope Francis’ Speech before U.S.Congress
Once again Catholics of the Diocese of Dallas will gather to protect and defend life at the annual Catholic Pro-life Dinner April 16 at the Irving Convention Center.
Benefiting the many ministries of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee, this 23rd annual dinner will highlight the efforts of the committee, honor the Pro-life Person of the Year, and include the inspiring story of featured guest, Eduardo Verástegui, former Mexican pop-singer who abandoned a lucrative career to devote his talents to producing films promoting respect for life.
Our Holy Father Pope Francis reminds us, “We are called to reach out to those who find themselves in the existential peripheries of our societies and to show particular solidarity with the most vulnerable of our brothers and sisters: the poor, the disabled, the unborn and the sick, migrants and refugees, the elderly and the young who lack employment.”— Message to the 10th General Assembly of the World Council of Churches
In his Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, Our Holy Father states that “Among the vulnerable for whom the church wishes to care with particular love and concern are unborn children, the most defenseless and innocent among us.” EG #213
The many programs of the Catholic Pro-Life Committee have saved countless lives and touched many more. Please join us at the Catholic Pro-Life Dinner on April 16.
