Last week’s University of Dallas Ministry Conference was a resounding success, not only for the nearly 5,500 who participated in the two-day event, but for the Church in North Texas which will be richly blessed by the results.
I want to congratulate the UD School of Ministry staff for their work in the planning and presentation of the conference. Thanks to all those who attended the conference with its many workshops and worship experiences. The lives and faith of all who attended will be enriched by the experience.
Next year, this growing conference will be held Oct. 26-27, at the new Irving Convention Center to make it more accessible to participants from the Diocese of Fort Worth.
I promise that the 2012 conference, which is co-sponsored by the Fort Worth diocese, the University of Dallas and the Diocese of Dallas, will once again offer a stellar opportunity for continuing formation for ministers as well as anyone interested in learning more about our Catholic faith.
I hope you will plan to attend! It’s never too early when it comes to deepening your understanding and love of Jesus Christ our Lord and His Church.
